- restyling and updating the bike portal in responsive design, giving a central role to the territory, told through new photographic and map images of the routes
- Updating storytelling, with usable routes to tell the story of nature, the hinterland and boats as a historical means of connecting territories, simultaneously focusing on the historical-cultural elements (casoni, lighthouses, fishermen’s shelters, mills, churches, etc.) and especially enhancing food and wine
- Updating retist landing pages to allow users to identify the most suitable facility
- complete overhaul of the network site, through the elaboration of the web design with automatic optimization to the device used; configuration of statistics through Google Analytics, optimization for search engines through SEO activities as well as maintenance of the CMS platform were carried out. The portal was created in English and German as well as in Italian.
New activities developed in the world of cycling tourism, along with existing ones, have been supported through a web marketing plan, both global of the network and of individual retists, in order to expand the catchment area as much as possible.
The mix of web marketing and web advertising strategies were at the heart of the marketing actions since, the main goal of the network, is to gain the best positioning within the digital world. We focused mainly on the German and Austrian markets, from which about 80 percent of our customers come.
OBJECTIVES ACHIEVED
Main goal achieved by the network was to promote bicycle tourism of the Venetian coast and hinterland by integrating the services and assistance offered to the bicycle tourist.
The territorial brand of Veneto was enhanced through marketing and communication initiatives, as the Venetian lagoon and its hinterland encompasses all its typical factors: cuisine (food and wine tourism), art cities (art tourism), and sea and beaches (beach tourism).
Through aggregation, the internationalization of the cultural and territorial heritage of the Venetian Lagoon and its hinterland has been promoted, ensuring enjoyment in a sustainable, responsible, innovative, and above all safe way from the point of view of health and social distancing, which is of paramount importance at this historical moment.
